May Letters.

I thought I'd get my May letters in early as I am off on my holidays (Istanbul) in a few days.
I was looking forward to getting to "R". I am using an old map with my birthplace Recess and the old   Railway Hotel that was closed in the 1930's on it,  I managed to get both into the square.
My "S" seems like a departure from the other muted squares but I was thinking sunset/sunrise so the color was inevitable.

MIEKE.

Just in time!

I am still working on the end design.
I love what everybody is doing so far, such a diversity of materials and imagination.
Can't wait to see them all finished.

Noela's Letters for April

Argh - another new layout for us to get our heads around.
These blogger boffins must be sitting there thinking up ways to fill in their time and stress out us oldies!!

Anyway, enough of the 'resistence to change' - just get on with it, Noela!!

...once again, gouache on Canson Mi-Teintes papers.

Deb - April letters

Here are my letters for April.
I have nearly finished the whole alphabet now and am trying to come up with a brilliant idea of how to display them!!  This challenge has been a lot of fun. It's so interesting seeing everybody's different ideas.

April delivery

at his point, I try to imagine how I will use them ...
in a book, that's for sure, but how to bound  it ...

and I'm dreaming of the next one, too

We have an awful spring this year, rainy and so cold
hopefully, our heart is warm !

GRANDMA'S BEADS JUST KEEP ROLLING ALONG

Past the half way point with this month's letters.  Easter holidays, Anzac Day....this month is all topsy turvy.  Hope you're all still having fun with your dots and dashes and all things circular.

JGR MNOP

Hello A.L.A.W. friends, I hope you're all doing well. I've really enjoyed working on my letters and seeing what everyone has come up with; so many wonderful interpretations! Without further delay here are my letters for April: Lower case m for a modern approach-bright green for Spring, overlapping bold & subtle dots - out of register to add 'character' haha!

Next up; colorful chaos with a scratchy texture-N is more subtle, imbedded in the composition, unlike 'm' which is sitting on top.
O is larger-than-life and edging off the page, bold dots large and small for the background.
'p' is totally out of character, I have never used this color combo before, but it spoke to me so here it it. I feel like the letter is floating in a sea of dots, bobbing up and down. Very subtle large dot on left reminds me of a huge sun peeking over the horizon.
Thank you for visiting, have a great week.

terrie's april letters

I finished up my letters for this month - continuing using Zentangles over my paint spattered cards.

I'm certainly enjoying seeing all the work the rest of you are doing.  Who knew there were SO many creative ways to express the alphabet?  I'm starting to mull about how to finish/display this one and what form my next one might take.  No brainstorms yet.....

Lorinda's m-p

Starting with 'n' I'm repeating colors and origami paper combos from the beginning of the alphabet. More than half way through...I've really got to figure out what I'm doing for my other set!

I see some letters that obviously take considerable time and technique to create--frankly, I've been incredibly impressed! I'm hoping to be a little fancier for the second half of the year. The thinking cap is on!

Happy easter

Hello,
Here are my next four letters.
Green, pink, yellow, many colours in the garden, orange and red for these April's letters.

I enjoy seeing what everyone is creating.
I love to visit this blog

Susan's m to p

Hello fellow alphabet friends

Here are my next four letters ......... still not matching in script so I am very glad I chose to do the 'dotty' alphabet first as the dots hold the alphabet together.

It will be fun working out how to present these once complete.  I am thinking through a couple of ideas, one in book form and one unbound.  Will decide once all the letters are done.

M, N, O, P...Jo

The year is just flying, but so far am keeping up.  Here are my April's letters.

They seem to be getting more subdued each month.  Guess they will have to be together in groups of four at the end.  Perhaps I'm working up to black and white.
